DNT HYDRA-Mini HS210M — One Thermal Optic. Four Ways to Deploy.
The DNT HYDRA-Mini HS210M combines four deployment options in one compact thermal platform. Use it as a standalone thermal scope, detach it for handheld observation, configure it for helmet-mounted use, or place it in front of a compatible day optic as a thermal clip-on.
At approximately 320 g (11.3 oz), the HS210M is designed for users who want a lightweight thermal device that can adapt as conditions and equipment change. Its wide 1x view supports rapid heat detection and situational awareness, while onboard recording and DNT App connectivity make it easy to review field footage after the session.

Four Ways to Use the HYDRA-Mini
1. Standalone Thermal Scope
In standalone mode, the HS210M operates as a dedicated thermal scope with 1x base magnification (1.14x actual). Its wide field of view helps you scan efficiently and locate heat signatures while retaining awareness of the surrounding area.
This configuration is well suited to close- and medium-range thermal observation and lawful pest or feral-animal management.

2. Handheld Thermal Monocular
Detach the HS210M from its mounted setup and use it as a compact handheld thermal monocular. Its lightweight design makes it convenient for scanning, observation and tracking heat signatures without keeping the device attached to a fixed platform.
Handheld mode is useful when surveying a property, checking paddocks or carrying out general nighttime observation.

3. Helmet-Mounted Thermal
For hands-free thermal observation, the HS210M can be incorporated into a compatible helmet-mounted system. Depending on the equipment selected, it may be used as a single thermal device, alongside compatible night-vision equipment, or as part of a dual-thermal configuration.
- Use thermal imaging for rapid heat detection alongside a separate night-vision view.
- Pair two HS210M units for a dual-thermal setup with a broader viewing experience.
- Add thermal information to a compatible conventional night-vision configuration.
Helmet compatibility note: Helmet-mounted use requires a helmet with a compatible shroud and mount, plus a Wilcox- or KVC/RQE-format compatible dovetail binocular bridge. These components, and a second HS210M for dual-thermal use, are not included unless expressly stated in this listing.

4. Thermal Clip-On
Position the HS210M in front of a compatible day optic to add thermal capability while retaining the day optic’s reticle. In clip-on mode, the HS210M provides a fixed 1x thermal image, while magnification and aiming remain with the day optic.
DNT recommends pairing the HS210M with day optics that have a 1–2x base magnification for the best viewing experience. Optic height and overall system compatibility should be checked before use.

Fast Configuration Changes with the QDF193 Mount
The supplied QDF193 Dual Quick-Detach Flip-to-Side Mount is designed to make transitions between compatible configurations fast and practical. The HS210M and mount can move together between setups, while the quick-detach design is intended to support consistent zero after removal and reattachment.
The QDF193 positions the HS210M 1.93 inches above the rail. Compatible DNT quick-detach mounts are also available in 1.5-inch and 1.7-inch configurations.
Clear Thermal Detail in Challenging Conditions
The HS210M combines a 256 × 192, 12 μm thermal sensor with ≤18 mK NETD sensitivity and always-on AI-powered Image Super Resolution (ISR). ISR enhances perceived image detail, helping important thermal features stand out in difficult conditions.
A field of view of 30.7 × 23 yards at 100 yards — approximately 28.1 × 21.0 metres at 91.4 metres — supports quick scanning and situational awareness at close to medium distances.
Flexible Display and Viewing Options
- Four thermal colour palettes
- Eight reticle styles and five reticle colour options
- 2x and 4x digital zoom
- Picture-in-Picture mode with a 2x magnified inspection window
- 1024 × 768 Micro-OLED display
Picture-in-Picture lets you examine a selected area more closely while keeping the wider thermal scene visible.
Record, Review and Connect
Capture video and audio directly on the HS210M using the dedicated Record button. Recoil Activated Video (RAV) can also record footage automatically around the moment recoil is detected.
With 32 GB of onboard storage, Wi-Fi and DNT App connectivity, users can access a live view and replay recorded footage from a compatible mobile device. This makes the HS210M useful not only during a session, but also for reviewing performance afterwards.
Designed for Extended Field Use
- Approximately 7 hours of operation from one rechargeable 18650 battery
- Up to approximately 14 hours total when two batteries are used consecutively
- 65 mm eye relief
- IP67 water- and dust-resistance rating
- Manufacturer-rated for recoil up to .50 BMG

Ideal Applications
- Thermal scanning and nighttime observation
- Lawful pest and feral-animal management
- Farm, paddock and rural-property monitoring
- Wildlife observation where permitted
- Reviewing range or field footage
- Users who need one thermal platform for multiple compatible setups

Important Compatibility and Use Information
The HS210M’s compact 256 × 192 sensor, 10 mm objective and wide field of view prioritise portability, rapid scanning and close- to medium-range use rather than long-range image detail. Digital zoom enlarges the displayed image and may make pixels more visible at higher settings.
Helmet equipment, bridges, night-vision devices, day optics, additional mounts and a second HS210M are not included unless expressly listed. For clip-on use, confirm the day optic, mounting height, alignment and eye adjustment are compatible, then verify point of impact with your complete setup.
Product images and recorded thermal footage are illustrative. Actual performance varies with target size, temperature difference, humidity, weather, configuration and other environmental conditions. Detection does not necessarily mean positive identification. Specifications and included accessories may change; the Australian product listing and supplied package take precedence.
